In Ontario horse circles, Stephanie Redlick is well known as a scammer and someone who severely neglects her horses. The conditions they are kept in are filthy and contribute to a host of medical problems. The horses often have no food or even water. Hay is left to get moldy. Horses are forced to stand in many inches of their own filth.
Stephanie Redlick is a type of chameleon – changing names and personas to broaden her reach to unsuspecting people. She lies as naturally as breathing. She moves often as outstanding debts mount up. She often brands herself a “rescuer” and that is why the horses in her “care” are in the condition they are in.
So many complaints made to Ontario Animal Welfare Services (AWS). If they respond at all it is many days or even weeks later.
The horse community though large is tightly knit. Stephanie Redlick’s tenor is well known, so many people have tried to stop her but our laws and provincially resourcing of protection inspectors is lacklustre to say the least.
Humane Initiative was contacted in late March asking for assistance in broadening the public’s awareness and asking for help in shutting down Stephanie Redlick and holding her accountable for the pain, suffering and death these horses have had to endure.
