Ontario faced similar challenges years ago over nurse practitioners.
True efficiencies and forward looking changes get rejected or bogged down in red tape as institutions and politicians continually push back as they fear the loss of control.
This article is prime example of where the Ontario government again buckles to a proposal that would greatly benefit animals (and their owners).
This province and the College of Veternarians of Ontario are so bogged down in bureaucratic garbage to keep “control” that they have really lost focus on what their purpose is.
Animal rehabilitation services are in high demand. We must allow skilled and accredited individuals to provide a much needed service!
We need decision makers that can independently assess situations and make well rounded decisions with a long range outlook.
