Online selling platforms a major contributor to animal abuse

Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, buyn’sell groups and websites continue to be a major contributing factor in providing unvetted access to abusers, unethical breeders, animal brokers , dogfighters, dog flippers.

ZERO regulation.

ZERO oversight or accountability.

Again, the government COULD bring in regulations, licensing but they CHOOSE not to.

The animals will continue to be at risk and will continue to suffer unless we, the public demand the government does what is needed.

  1. It’s our duty to protect animals. It’s our duty to punish animal abusers to the fullest. Enough is enough.

    1. Thanks for reaching out. Totally agree with you. Unfortunately the entity whose duty it is (gov) is not doing their duty. And as taxpayers we have every right and responsibility to push them to do what we pay them to do AND what they promised TO DO !!!

  2. Animal abuse needs to be stopped at the source and government has to pull it’s collective head out of the sand and face the fact they are the ones to stop it! NO MORE EXCUSE FOR ANIMAL ABUSE

    1. The GOV’s head is not in the sand…they know exactly what they are doing…or in the case of animal welfare in ONT..what they are NOT doing – yet promised to. It is so so many of the public, even self proclaimed animal lovers whose heads are firmly in the sand and are quite ticked off to be told that is where their heads are. Our (Humane Initiative) focus is shining a light on how our taxpayer funded animal welfare system is completely broken and it is the ANIMALS WHO CONTINUE TO SUFFER. That is why we are doing our July 19/2025 peaceful demonstration in Niagara Falls. See What’s New on our website for details. Thanks for reaching out Sheri!
