On October 9, 2024 Ontario Chief Animal Welfare Inspector Melanie Milczynski agreed to meet with Humane Initiative. We met at their Operational Headquarters – 6711 Mississauga Road.
We were contacted directly by Chief Milczynski after she learned we had visited their non public facing Operations Headquarters in Mississauga seeking to speak to someone.
The meeting went for 90 minutes, nothing was off the table but we understood that there would be limits on what Chief Milczynski would disclose. We found her personable and wanting to be helpful but also hesitant to share on certain issues. She is clearly not free to stray from the “company line”.
