Humans exploit animals for pure greed.
Veiled as “entertainment”, animals are forced to endure unnatural lives in captivity so people will pay money to view them, interact with them, pose with them and even HUNT them.
In Ontario, businesses that use animals are “entertainment” are largely unregulated and not inspected.
We have a responsibility to ensure animals in captivity are treated in a humane and safe manner and that businesses are licensed and are held to meaningful and measureable standards of care.
