Carly Young’s Trial Commences March 2 in horrific death of Dakota

The Pointer has just published an update to their Dakota trial coverage.

The continued delay tactics and controlling antics of Christopher Young (the defendants husband) have not gone over well with the Trial Justice overseeing the trial.

Provincial Animal Welfare Services (AWS) failed to reach out to Niagara Police when it was obvious the level of trauma and distress that Dakota experienced.

What Carly Young is accused of clearly meets the threshold of a criminal offence.

Instead, because of AWS’s failure to act….Young is only facing Provincial Offence Act charges. Much less severe and if convicted, Carly Young will NOT have a criminal record.

NOTE: a private prosecution is being pursued with the Ontario Court of Justice – Criminal Division to ensure Carly faces justice and true accountability. A private prosecution enables a private citizen to petition the court to lay criminal code charges when it is felt that the system failed to charge appropriately.
