Despite 16 horses being in horrific condition and them knowing that 5 horses were in immediate distress, Ontario Animal Welfare Services (AWS) did not act to get the horses the vet care that they desperately needed and to seize the animals away from Stephanie Redlick.
The OPP and the Mayor (Oro Medonte) had to call AWS to say “get out there” and help those horses!
Stephanie Redlick is being investigated criminally for horse and livestock theft but AWS has still not filed animal cruelty related charges. Without the specific animal cruelty charges, Redlick could continue having animals and harming them.
