A disservice to the taxpayers of Ontario
This is JUST LIKE the new Chief Animal Welfare Inspector of Ontario, Melanie Milczynski – ZERO animal welfare experience. Linda and I asked Melanie in our 1-1 meeting with her last month what her priority and top deliverables were….over and over she kept repeating that her priority was to show people all the good work that AWS is doing and to improve their public image. She could not address the horrendous Standards of Care, the fact they have NO WHERE near enough trained inspectors, the fact that the province CHOSE not to license breeders, she could not address how they were going to enforce the PUPS Act. Told us that every call that comes into the hotline that is for AWS get attended to by an inspector – we know that is not true. Massively disappointed that the province continues with these smoke and mirror games, refusing to be transparent and accountable to the taxpayers of Ontario. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, continue to fail the animals of this province !!!!
