The Pointer newspaper asked me if I would write an article for their Editorial section about the state of animal welfare in Ontario. (Please see link to The Pointer article below)
Writing this left me gutted with profound sadness, anger and utter disgust.
The Pointer is a highly ethical newspaper in Ontario. They do deep dives into the pressing issues we face in Ontario. Please check them out!
The Pointer asks the tough questions of our elected officials. And when they refuse to answer or try to distract they call them out. Because these officials work for us – we pay their salaries.
I am asking you to become engaged. How can you love animals and stay on the sidelines? How can you remain silent because you are busy or don’t want to get involved?

Farm animals or another one Doug Ford has absolutely no concern about whatsoever. And it’s obvious that farming lobbyists are supporting Doug Ford cuz farming is getting bigger and bigger everywhere and farmers get away with everything. Nothing happens to a farmer I can just imagine some of the atrocities on farms. We already know of a lot. And Doug Ford in his agg gag laws trying to stop people from saying something about the horrors on farms.They still tie baby calfs to those calf hatches all around where I live. I thought that was supposed to be illegal now.
You don’t care about animal welfare at all you hypocrite. I warned you about Denny Robson and Newmans New Beginnings rescue being shut down by animal welfare and you called me a liar. Your bestie Cheryle Greenly supports and backs a woman that had a dead cat found in her closet. You don’t believe me? Ask around the rescue world about the woman in Acton with the cats buried in her backyard that had animal welfare seize 30+ cats. One of them being my little lady.
You are mentally unwell Abby. Please get help! Your efforts to discredit a wonderful animal advocate has discredited time and time again. You have been flagged as being mentally unstable. Please get help to cope.
Wow. What a low comment from a classless human being. Where are you getting the idea I am mentally unwell? You have no idea who I am.
You have done nothing but harass Cheryle Abby. Despite your continuous efforts, she has been found to have done absolutely nothing wrong. If you have clear evidence of wrong doing then go through the proper channels. If not, knock it off or I will be filing a harassment notice against you.
