PROTEST ATTENDED BY 150

Despite the threat of rain, today’s peaceful protest on behalf of Heiniu in Aurora, Ontario was attended by approximately 150 people. The event was attended by at least 3 members of the press and additional main stream media have reached out wanting footage from, and interviews with, those attending.

Leah Long, who has 20 years of experience as an Animal Control officer was at today’s peaceful protest — on the video below Leah speaks out about the death of Heiniu.

This blatant animal abuse and cruelty needs to be taken extremely serious
I was an Animal Control Officer for many years
I have never seen this level of inexperience These “officers” need to be dealt with harshly and the Animal Control staff need to be retrained properly so this never happens to anyone’s pet again
