The defence has tried continuous delay tactics for many months but on March 2nd, the Justice finally put her foot down. The Court ordered the Barrie resident to appear in person Monday, April 27th at 9am in Welland Provincial Offences Court.

She is facing 4 charges in connection to the death of her dog Dakota in July 2024.

If she fails to appear, the trial will resume in absentia.

  1. They need to be put in jail. That was horrible and disturbing and that poor animal suffered a horrendous death. I can’t believe this trial is still going on this should have been dealt with a long time ago. No other sentence than jail.

  2. I psychiatric evaluation and jail time!
If she could do that too a helpless dog imagine what she may do to a child if she had any!

  3. Time to throw this sick person in jail. This has gone on long enough. Dakota was only one when she passed. This poor sweet innocent soul suffered abuse for one year. Every day of her short life waking up to abuse. The pain she suffered every day is unimaginable. This was a horrific death. She and her husband need to be put away for years and never allowed to own animals again.

  4. This case is one of blatant sadism. They must be held accountable with no leniency, for it doesn’t get much worse than this.
