Provincial Animal Welfare Services (AWS) has been aware of horses on a Holyrood, ONT property since June 8th, 2026 and have done nothing to help them! Unique Incident Number: UCN# 22332787 <== generated July 12th, 2026 when a member of the public complained about the ongoing situation.
Surprise, surprise Animal Welfare Services were initially called to this property because Stephanie Redlick (currently facing Animal Welfare Services charges and unrelated criminal charges for theft and fraud) was reported to have horses on the Mennonite-owned property. The condition of the horses known to be hers was concerning to members of the public.
So at this point you may be asking…
Why is someone currently facing 13 animal cruelty charges permitted to own animals?

But we want to bring to the public’s attention — just one of the couple of dozen, or so, horses on this Mennonite farm, in the township of Huron-Kinloss. This horse belongs to Stephanie Redlick and her father — who as of late has been going by — Samuel Kauffman — but whose drivers’ license states is Sam Redlick. <== Scroll down on that link for an ever growing list of known aliases.
This poor creature is said to be a Dutch Harness Horse x Standardbred stallion.
He is terribly emaciated. Kept in horrendous conditions: he has no bedding, no feed, no fresh water, floor covered in manure. He was seen to be picking through his own manure for something to eat.
With little confidence that he is being dewormed, there is a high probability is full of parasites.
As well he has no access to pasture, therefore is never turned out to graze in a field in the fresh air, in the sunlight.
His existence is in a dark, filthy low ceilinged shed. Look at this poor animal!
Animal Welfare Services has been to the property and we are sure you are asking — how can they let this poor sentient being, continue to be left in these conditions?
Despite multiple calls to AWS to help these horses — and hold the property owner (and the Redlicks) accountable — Animal Welfare Services appears to be dragging their feet. What are AWS waiting for?
Animal Welfare Services is fond of claiming they don’t have enough “equine savvy inspectors” We say — THEN GET ONE!!!!
