We rescued this friendly beauty from a backyard breeder. Over a couple of months we had tried to get him to surrender or even sell us the dogs.
The situation was bad, Daisy and her puppies were kept in dark, dirty and damp conditions. He was selling her puppies and knew she would soon be pregnant again if she was not already.
She somehow managed to escape and was picked up by animal services. As this was a high kill shelter we knew we had to get her out of there.
We paid to board her while we looked for a foster. While there she became best friends with another dog named King. King was a frequent lodger and over time, King’s family got to know Daisy. They had recently lost their other dog and was not looking to add another dog to their family yet. But Daisy’s charm, affection and enthusiasm quickly won over his family and they knew Daisy was meant for them.
