This page is dedicated to the memory of Kelly Beatty, Founder of Ruff Start New Beginnings Dog Rescue & Retreat.
April 10, 1965 – August 17, 2025
Kelly passed after a fearless and valiant fight with cancer in her 61st year.
Kelly was the founder and owner of Ruff Start New Beginnings dog rescue in Colborne, Ontario. For 15 years Kelly along with her husband Chris at her side rescued over 1912 dogs from Canada and the United States.
Her determination was steadfast. No dog was beyond hope, rehabilitation, and a forever home which she proved time and time again. Kelly never believed a dog was un-adoptable. They just had not found the right home yet.
So to our friend Kelly Beatty, we dedicate this page of New Beginnings!
